Which Size Pocket Tote Should You Choose?

One of the questions we get asked the most is:

“Which size should I get?”

And honestly, we get it.

Once you know you want a Pocket Tote, choosing between Everyday, Large, Midi, Mini and Petite can feel like a lot of options. They all have the same ARRAY DNA - practical, casual and packed with pockets - but each size is designed for a slightly different kind of day.

So instead of just looking at measurements, here's the easiest way to work out which one is right for you.

First, think about what you actually carry

Not what you might carry.

Not what you carry once every six months.

Think about the stuff that comes with you most days.

A water bottle? Laptop? Lunch? Kids' stuff? Gym gear? Or are you more of a phone, keys, wallet and lip balm kind of person?

Your answer will probably make the choice pretty obvious.

EVERYDAY - the all-rounder

If you're not sure, Everyday is the place to start.

It's our most popular size for a reason. It's big enough to fit the things you actually need throughout the day, without feeling like you're carrying around a giant bag.

The centre compartment fits an iPad, small laptop or lunch bag, while the six pockets keep your smaller essentials organised and your drink bottles upright.

It's the one for work, uni, gym, beach, baby/kids, markets, shopping and everyday life.

Basically, if you want one Pocket Tote that can do a bit of everything, Everyday is your girl.

LARGE - for when more is more

If you're the person who likes to be prepared for absolutely everything, you probably want Large.

It's noticeably bigger than Everyday and gives you plenty of room for the extras - think laptop, jacket, multiple drink bottles, towels, spare clothes, food or even a picnic rug.

It's particularly good for beach days, family days, travel, work and those days where you're somehow responsible for carrying everyone's stuff.

If Everyday is your everyday bag, Large is your “I brought everything just in case” bag.

MIDI - the in-between

Sometimes you want something smaller than Everyday, but Mini feels a little too small.

Enter Midi.

It's the middle ground - compact enough to feel lighter and easier to carry, but with more room than Mini for the things you actually need.

If you're tossing up between Everyday and Mini and can't decide, Midi might be the answer.

It's a great everyday option when you don't need to carry a whole lot, but still want the signature ARRAY pockets doing their thing.

MINI - small, but still organised

Mini is for smaller days.

It's compact, but you still get the Pocket Tote magic — six pockets to keep your essentials organised, plus a centre compartment for your phone, wallet and other smaller items.

It's a great option for everyday essentials, small baby-bag duties or whenever you don't want to carry a bigger tote around.

Think less stuff, same level of organisation.

PETITE - just the essentials

And then there's Petite.

Really small. Very cute. Surprisingly useful.

Petite is designed for those days when you only need the absolute essentials. Phone, keys, wallet and the little bits and pieces that usually end up floating around the bottom of your bag.

It's the smallest of the Pocket Totes, so if your packing philosophy is “I don't need much”, this could be the one.

Still not sure?

Here's the simplest way to think about it:

Everyday: I need a bag for pretty much everything.
Large: I carry a LOT of stuff.
Midi: I want something in between.
Mini: I only need the essentials, but I still want pockets.
Petite: I need very little and want to keep it tiny.

And remember - there isn't a better size.

There's just the size that works best for your version of organised chaos.

All of the Pocket Totes are built around the same idea: six proper internal pockets to keep your everyday things organised and easy to find. It's just a matter of deciding how much organised chaos you're bringing with you.
